mCherry (kan) Plasmid pBS34

pBS34 is based upon the pFA6-GFPkan (Wach et al) except that GFP is replaced by mCherry (Shaner et al). Forward and reverse primers are described on the protocol page "Fusing GFP to the Carboxy Terminus of Your Favorite Protein". Some common restriction enzyme sites are shown. Unique sites are in red.
Because the plasmids pBS34 and pBS35 contain mCherry that was developed in the Roger Tsien lab, a copy of their Material Transfer Agreement must be signed by the principle investigator and faxed to them (858-534-5270) AND to the YRC (206-685-1792, "attn Davis lab"). This agreement does not need to be countersigned or require any further processing.
